Welcome to St. Edmundsbury Lawn Bowls Club

St Eds went into 2025 with a positive view to building the club membership.  We knew that we needed new members and we got them!  Not only did we get new members but as we threw them into league matches to help fulfil our fixtures they flourished! 

2026 has seen us build on those foundations and go from strength to strength with some excellent results in the local leagues.

We are very optimistically looking forward to 2027.

Join us for a trial session at one of our roll ups on a Wednesday  6.15pm for a 6.30pm start

First session is free

£2.50 a game

£1.50 juniors 

Bring a friend, just turn up, no dress code except flat shoes, no equipment needed we have bowls to loan

You can have 3 sessions before becoming a member.

Bowls Bash Basic Rules

2 sets of 5 ends played in pairs

3 points for closest to the jack, 2 points for 2nd and 1 for 3rd

2 points for a kiss of the jack

fixed jack for faster play, mat can be moved

one bowl final end in the case of a draw

Power play each set to double the points on a chosen end
